Watanabe Sadao, is a very special Christian printmaker rendering his prints in the mingei (folk art) tradition of Japan. He uses the katazome technique (a Japanese traditional method of dyeingfabrics with stencil). The theme of Watanabe’s prints is exclusively the Holy Scripture.
